KORE
Part of the messaging about M2M seems to be suggesting that the Internet has become nothing more than a communications network between machines. However the reality is that the story is more about delivering intelligence and policy in ways that give humans more control of their equipment, enterprises and environments. This panel takes us beyond the terms and to the concepts surrounding the terms that we use to describe this network of people, places and things.

Surveillance and Traffic Lights
M2M-06
Municipalities have been enabling surveillance at traffic lights for almost a decade. Is the market ready for a new phase of deployment? How does the autonomous automobile interact with these systems? What other opportunities exist with the use of government systems? How far will the use of these capabilities go?
THINGS IN MOTION
Digital Signage
M2M-05
Our attention span has changed and advertisers are challenged on ways to capture and maintain our interest. Even outdoor billboards are delivering advertisements dynamically. So, where is the use of digital signs taking the market and how does this market breakdown? Besides advertising and government services what are the other opportunities?

Relevant Data Making Big Data Work
M2M-08
Big data analytics is one technology that is fast-evolving and will play a major role in the consumerization of the M2M space. In the world of connected devices, a flood of data is generated every minute from different sources and various sensors. Enterprises are required to embrace value-based approaches in the M2M business landscape to increase customer loyalty and profitability. M2M and big data will complement each other as enterprises are inundated with data streams. A tremendous amount of value can be unlocked from these mounting data sources. Hear how businesses can stay ahead of the competition by making data-driven decisions, rather than making decisions on judgment or insight. This session looks at how to see resources and processes in the mix of the analysis how to find the best way to ensure the relevance of big data

MEMS and Sensor Trends and Challenges to Scale the Mobile Health Industry
M2M-16
MEMS and sensors are experiencing rapid growth in consumer electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets and are now coming to more wearable, handheld and IOT health devices near you. From basic pedometers and sleep analysis functions over the past few years to more medical related functionality such as heart rate, blood glucose, stress, COPD, and more today. The MEMS and sensor supply chain is adapting to keep up with these changes by providing new, smaller size, lower power biosensors, but will that be enough to keep pace with the rising demand? This panel will provide an overview of theMEMS and sensor ecosystem to highlight where sensors and biosensors are heading today and tomorrow, with specific focus on the healthcare opportunities. Each panelist will share their views on the challenges facing the mobile health industry to smoothly adopt these new technologies and offer advice on how the industry can collaborate to realize the potential that these devices can bring to our lives.

One M2M, IIC and the Quest to be Different Standards
M2M-17
Rather than eliminating our existing M2M data networks and connected devices, the Industrial Internet will add a new device category layer that will coexist with older technologies for quite some time, providing them with dramatic new capabilities and increasing their value. To do this, the Industrial Internet will need to accommodate traditional M2M technologies, some of which are decades old. It will have to aggregate, convert and transmit multiple data networking protocols, from Modbus to TCP/IP. It will need to move data across fiber, copper, cellular and wireless connections. While adding millions of smaller, smarter, more capable nodes to networks, the Industrial Internet will also have to keep our existing equipment connected and communicating. This session will focus on planning for future technologies and capabilities while supporting existing systems.

Skunk Works
M2M-18
Can sensors take us beyond the five senses? Do all projects start off with upper management buy in, or do some things have to be demonstrated before their value can be understood? This panel looks at how innovation can be delivered using tools such as simple sensors and computing boards such as Arduinos and Raspberry Pi. This session will reveal how easy it is to get in the mix and get some hands-on experience.
