Media Alert: Ethernet Alliance Executives to Address Future of Ethernet Speeds at Key Ethernet Industry Events

The Ethernet
Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and
advancement of Ethernet technologies, today announced John D'Ambrosia,
chairman, Ethernet Alliance (News - Alert), and chief Ethernet evangelist, CTO office,
Dell, and Scott Kipp, president, Ethernet Alliance, and senior
technologist, Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. will be featured
speakers at two upcoming Ethernet industry events: the North
American Network Operators' Group (NANOG (News - Alert) 56) meeting in Dallas, TX
and the 21st Euro-IX
Forum in Stockholm, Sweden.
At NANOG 56, Mr. Kipp will offer a presentation entitled "Bandwidth
Growth and the Next Speed of Ethernet" at 12:30pm CDT (News - Alert) on October 22,
2012. Mr. D'Ambrosia will join him in a reprise of the presentation
during the Euro-IX Forum, November 12 - 13, 2012. "Bandwidth Growth
and the Next Speed of Ethernet" explores the recent findings of the
IEEE (News - Alert) 802.3 Industry Connections Bandwidth Assessment Report and a status
update on development of the next Ethernet speed. It also provides a
forum for discussion with members of both organizations on those needs
that will drive development of higher-rate Ethernet speeds, and efforts
to achieve High-Speed Ethernet (HSE) consensus.

tomorrow's networks. Network operators and Internet exchanges are at the
heart of the Internet; as the move toward ubiquitous 24/7 connectivity
