Will Showcase End-to-End Machine-to-Machine Capabilities October 2-5 in Austin, Texas
NORWALK, Conn. – August 30, 2012 – TMC and Crossfire Media announced that Vodafone has signed on to become a Gold Sponsor of the M2M Evolution Conference & Expo, October 2-5 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. M2M Evolution is collocated with ITEXPO, the world’s largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show.
According to consultancy Compass Intelligence, the U.S. market for next-generation machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions is expected to grow from 27 million connections today to over 120 million by 2017. The M2M Evolution Conference & Expo, produced in conjunction with Crossfire Media, brings together experts in transportation, security, health, cold chain, automotive, and safety to discuss strategies for M2M growth, as well as the new business of proactive response centers. Technology companies, including wireless carriers, platform companies and device manufacturers, also will present and discuss their roles in creating effective technologies and procedures that work to create an ecosystem for actionable data and information.
“We are pleased to be part of the M2M Evolution Conference,” said Brian Murphy, Head of M2M America’s, Vodafone. “Vodafone’s global M2M platform makes it easy for global businesses to centrally manage M2M deployments across multiple territories, with greater control and at a lower cost than previously possible.”
Vodafone has more than 20 years of experience in the M2M arena, bringing together and managing all the elements of an M2M deployment, whether global or national from consultancy through to user support. With the largest mobile telecommunications network in the world, and unlike other virtual networks in the M2M space, Vodafone has direct influence and control over its network design and functionality, and can provide a global SIM, with one tariff, supported by a bespoke M2M service level agreement built to suit the needs of all businesses.
“M2M communications has taken tremendous strides in the past few years, and Vodafone has been one of the companies at the forefront of this revolution,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC. “We are thrilled to have Vodafone joining us as a M2M Evolution sponsor and we look forward to working together to promote their activities at the show.”
Vodafone has also signed on to sponsor M2M Evolution in Miami, Fla. January 31-February 2, 2013, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
