International Telematics and SpeedGauge Announce a Partnership for Wider Global Telematics Market

Machines are becoming more intelligent and keeping track of the information these machines create is a growing market. M2M (machine-to-machine) communications and telematics makes it possible to gather data and use the information to create better products, improve safety protocols and provide better service to consumers. Whether it is an insurance company tracking the driving behavior of their policy holders or a transportation company with a fleet of thousands of vehicles, the information they generate is very useful. The partnership between International Telematics and SpeedGauge will give the companies new market opportunities.

International Telematics provides telematics solutions for vehicles by monitoring and assuring compliance, environmental impact, performance and location. The assets can be viewed in real-time to determine if the vehicle is in motion, how much fuel is being used, a look at the odometer as well as performing some remote diagnostic.

"Both International Telematics and SpeedGauge will benefit from access to new markets and shared strategies to offer powerful and user-friendly telematics platforms for the benefit of fleet owners, drivers and communities. We are delighted to be working in partnership with SpeedGauge," said Craig Marris, International Telematics president for North America.

SpeedGauge uses the information it gathers to improve the operations of organizations with fleets of vehicles. The analysis it makes gives companies the tools it needs to decrease fuel consumption, operations costs as well as improving compliance with rules and regulation governing transportation laws in each country. Additionally, the company provides coaching tools to make drivers safer and smarter when they are on the road.

"The extensive geographic presence of International Telematics will help SpeedGauge serve markets where fleet owners are confronting a rapidly increasing number of regulations that potentially heighten their level of liability. International Telematics is an ideal partner for SpeedGauge given its deep experience in telematics, global customer base and innovative technology. We are eagerly looking forward to expanding the availability of product lines from both companies to more geographies around the world," said Jonathan Hubbard, SpeedGauge CEO.

The partnership will increase their presence in their respective markets as well as other opportunities that will be created because of the collaboration.
