Company officials said that emPower is completely integrated with the company's wireless alarm signaling and interactive security services. Consumers can utilize emPower, the company's website and mobile applications to perform various tasks of managing energy consumption.

 

Apart from remotely monitoring and changing their thermostat settings, consumers can utilize emPower, the company's website and mobile applications simultaneously to perform tasks such as lock and unlock doors, even when far away; automate light schedules to fit their personal lifestyle and also to deter intruders; set energy efficient schedules, for thermostat and light, which can integrate with security system; automatically set settings, for light, lock and thermostat, throughout the property when the security system is armed or disarmed; and more.

 

Furthermore, customers of Alarm.com can also leverage emPower to receive real-time email and text message notifications when a thermostat setting is changed or a specific door lock is accessed, says Alarm.com.
